Mother and son duo, Julie and Michael Pillon were working together on a healthy food concept at their branding agency, Let’s Think. They wanted to pair the food concept with a healthy, natural bubbly soda but could not find one that existed. This led to their big idea, Famous Soda Co., which took 18 months of research and formulating the soda with Australian experts.

“We noticed how many people drink unhealthy cold drinks and beverages which are laden with sugar and other nasties. We set a goal to create a bubbly beverage that is a healthy alternative to other cold beverages in the market,” Julie said.

“We want people to think about what they drink. We set out to change the world a little bit for the better. Taste was important to us too. No one wants to drink or eat something healthy if it’s not delicious.”

Julie and Robbie Ellis who is part of Famous Soda Co. and has worked with Let’s Think, named, designed and developed the logo, packaging and website.

Michael, CEO took the new Famous Soda Co. brand to market, positioning the brand firmly on the map. The products are available in 250ml slimline cans and premium glass bottles in leading health foods stores, cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets including Coles, Woolworths, Coles Express and independent stores across the country.

“Finding the best in class distributors to partner with was the key. Mixing, brewing, and blending all-natural ingredients requires masters and months of rigorous testing and tasting to create the magic formula,” Michael added.

“Our sodas not only taste good and look good, but they also have zero sugar, only eight calories per bottle, are 100% natural, and Australian made.”
